Nisa to ''Who is Rima'',

Thanks for visiting!

P.S - It's weird cuz your nick is ''Who Is Rima', cuz that's my step mother in law's name. Or, are you asking me who Rima is? Don't quite get it.

25th Dec 2004.

Christmas Day.

Mom came to our place to have coffee and open presents so she don't have to bring our presents to Jay's house, and vice versa. It's too much of a hassle to do that. So we opened Mom's, Phillie's and my presents at our place. I got my storage bench, and comforter set, the stuff that I wanted!! Yippee...I love them! I also got some other stuff, PS2 games, shirts, jammies from Mom, etc. Phillie got his Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas PS2 game, which he wanted BADLY, a hardrive for his PS2 from his mom, some lounging pants, etc. I gave him clothes for work, 3 shirts and a pair of jeans. He got me clothes, hair stuff, shampoo and conditioner, pants, a pea coat, etc. We both got alot of presents from Mom!! We gave her an ironing board and a hair dryer. While opening presents, we had coffee and watched 'A Christmas Story', a great and funny movie, heehee.

Took off around 1.30pm to Jay and Jen's. Got there, ate alil, then opened our presents from them. I got a bath robe and a big picture frame from Jay and Jen, I like! Makayla and Lauren had the most presents from their Grammy. We gave Makayla 2 PC games, 1 PS2 game and snow gloves. As for Lauren, we gave her art stuff with a paint brush built in and 2 PC games. As for Jen, we gave her a whole load of bath stuff, and a velux blanket. Jay got 2 PS2 games from us, heehee...

Dad and family came about 5.30pm, and we opened our presents from him. I got a comforter set from him, some jammies and a set of combs and brushes. Phillie got a phone with an answering machine built in.

Everyone liked their presents, and we ate and ate all day, hehe. Oh yeah, the pies I made, I'm glad the cranberry nut pie and Raspberry Swirl Cheesecake pie turned out good.

That's me and Phillie's Christmas Day. Filled with love and fun.

Happy Thanksgiving Day, everyone!!

The plan was at 12pm at Mom's apartment. Jay and Jen and the kids were there too. We had pies, 4 kinds of pies, broccoli and red peppers, chicken and mushrooms, greek spinach with feta cheese and cheeseburger pie. I had one of each, and oh they were all so good!! My favorite one was the chicken and mushrooms, mmmm... But I am down with the cold and cough, there is this nasty bug flying around, I got it from Mom though. But hey, it's Thanksgiving, and I can still eat!!

We were suppose to make 2 desert pies and bring it to Dad's. But Phillie forgot all about it!! We tried going to Victory's and Big Y's, but they were all closed, cuz it was Thanksgiving Day! But Mom came to the rescue, she said she can make pies for us, since she is making 2 pies to her sister's. So she did. She made 2 deserts, lemon macaroon pie and apricot pie, so we could bring it to Dad's. Took only 30 minutes to bake them. Left Mom's at 2.55pm, arrived at Dad's at about 3.02pm. When we reached at Dad's, boy, did he make a spread!! He baked a turkey, made some squash, turnip, mashed potatoes, cabbage salad and stuffing. It was all delicious!!

An hour after eating the big feast, I went to sit down at the couch, I was getting so so sleepy, while the others are chatting away. They say there's an ingredient in the turkey meat itself that makes you so sleepy after you eat it. And being in the Chipman trade doesn't help either! The Chipmans always fall sleep after eating turkey meat, heehee!

Happy Turkey Day!

21st November, 2004.

The 2nd week of Eid, and we went to Kak Seri's house. We had a blast, everyone was so nice and friendly. Upon getting there, of course, I had to see the house first. She had a nice house, an old Victorian house, I like!! I simply like to look at beautiful houses. My mother in law was mumbling something to me that she loves an old Victorian house too, heh. Anyways, we got there, sat down and got something to drink and ate kuih muih that Kak Seri made. She made suji, kuih tat (a must specialty for Eid), and some other kuih muih. Splendid! Kak Noria arrived a lil while later, with her husband, Scott and of course, their son, Andrew. He is such a beautiful boy.

I got to know 2 ladies from Singapore, one is Kak Zaleha, she just got here this year, last May. She married someone from here, and the big news is, she got to know him online too!! Just like how I got to know Phil. Seems like internet love is on the air..everywhere now! Another one is Kak Junaidah. She is from Singapore too. She came with her husband and 2 children, John, her husband, and her kids, Raheem and Mu'izza, very well behaved and lovely kids I might add. A boy, and a beautiful shy little girl.

It was such a fun day for us. I enjoyed myself, I think living here will not be so bad now, now that I have got to know such wonderful ladies from my own homeland. Insya'allah.

14th November, 2004.

The day is Eid , the most joyous and happy days for us Moslems. Me and Phil went to Dely's house, she lives in New Hampshire, which is like 2 and a half hrs away from our house! Didn't think that she lived that far off to the mountains! Woah.

When we got there, the first thing I noticed is how big and beautiful her house is, the decorations are perfect and how everything looked so expensive. I noticed most of her decorations are from Indonesia. Mind you, she can speak 4 languages, Tagalok, Boyan, Malay and yes lah, of course, English! Impressive huh? She is cute and funny, all rolled into one! Her husband, Steve, is funny too. He told me he's been all around the world, teaching, and he taught in N.I.E when he was in Singapore. I thought that was awesome. He asked me where I lived in Singapore, I told him Aljunied, he then said 'I know it!' Heehee. Everyone was so nice, and I met 3 ladies who are from Singapore, 2 are married, one is Kak Nalel and daughter, Norliana, the other one is Kak Seri, the last one, May, she goes to school here. Hanged out will like 5pm, then went on a journey home for about 2 and a half hrs, I fell asleep on the way, heh, while Phil had to drive all the way home. I could
have sworn I heard him thinking aloud 'Well, when you get your driving license, it will be my turn to sit back, enjoy the ride, or take a nap, sucker.'

It was a wonderful time, but I still play it back in my mind on how I wished I was in Singapore now, celebrating Eid with my own family.
